Just starting
Posted by ambition, 09-01-2008, 09:53 PM | Hey guys I was looking into some programming languages and it seems really interesting, but I got a ask, where should I start out if I want to program for a living some day? What languages are good to start learning first? Are there any really good websites that would help me out? Also is Html, CSS and JS considered programming languages or designing type languages?
Thanks

PHP, Perl, etc are interpreted server side.
So, depending on what you want to do. JS, CSS and xHTML(Just HTML with the extensibility of XML) are good starters though.

Then I would suggest learning PHP, as these days there are so many resources for help with it, many jobs are available to code in it, and it's a more forgiving language than some.
