Cannot create temporary file (image upload)

I'm on a new server (CentOS) and I can't seem to do image uploads through php because it cannot create the temp file... my php.ini is set to use the default directory...
Does anyone know how I might be able to fix this?

Is your tmp directory writable, does it have the correct permissions.

| Posted by GeXus, 12-25-2007, 03:29 AM | | The error I get is "Can't create the temporary file", I think it's a custom error message though, it also says cannot write to /tmp, and I chmod it to 777
