They are still offline. Good job guys, i'd expect a quicker resolution from a company with the respect and size of media temple? Guess it goes to show that these far fetched huge enterprise size load balanced server networks don't go down often, but when they do - boy they go down big time.

They aren't having an issue with the network. It looks to be an issue with the storage.

Yes, I am aware of this.

I guess I am not alone in this, its getting to be very frustrating situation because I have hosted a couple of customers on the grid server.

How many hours it's down?

About 5 or 6 hours now. It is very annoying indeed. Last edited by hostlab; 12-01-2007 at 01:38 PM.

OK - Now getting a 403 forbidden page coming up, instead of just nothing.

They're back up, according to the status blog (and my one site on (gs) is now up). I hadn't had problems with them for several months, and was about to move several more sites over to (mt), but I think I'll re-think that decision now.

Its indeed very frustrating its the 4th host I am having troubles with in a matter of 2 months (doorhost.net, powweb.com, resellerzoom) read details on my blog http://make-money-from.blogspot.com/...sfortunes.html Is there such a thing as 100% Uptime GUARANTEED ??

Posted by CretaForce, 12-01-2007, 04:59 PM
Nobody can guarantee 100% uptime. But there are some companies that had 100% uptime the last years (except maintenance).

Creta This was a maintenance time that actually went quite wrong ... and took longer then expected well anyway ... for the 1 1/2 months that I have been with them they have been very good I am willing to forget that it happened ...

It seems like these guys have allot of storage issues, and I mean allot. It also seems they use the word latency to really mean downtime. Latency is definitely not downtime, so they need to fess up and admit downtime, rather than saying some customers just having some latency.

Rodney, I've had hosts that did not even admit they were doing something wrong and were trying to blame others for downtime. Phrasing it in such a way as to not be very negative sounding does not scare me at all. The good news is that they credited our gs accounts for two months to show appreciation for our patience ...
