But i can log in the ssh. i just installed apf, i check conf.apf to made sure there are port 80, but it still can't ping. Anyidea? thanks

| Posted by k3oni, 06-21-2007, 02:13 PM | | Check your /etc/resolv.conf file , ask your datacenter for the resolvers IP's and see if they match. Also, try to stop apf and see if you can ping after that.

| Posted by k3oni, 06-21-2007, 03:39 PM | | Try and ping an IP not an hostname, see if that works. If it works, you have a problem with the resolv.conf, check for an extra dot or something, maybe ask the datacenter to check that, the error you see means: The remote host's name cannot be resolved by name service into an IP address!

No idea how this happen. I checked resolv.conf manytime but don't see anything wrong.
