From what I understand they are in the process of replacing a bad router.

Ladies and Gentlemen of WHT, At 7:31 PM PM Eastern Time, our network went down due to a DDoS attack. Our technicians on-site were able to correct this issue before any more damage was done. The whole Steady Communications, LLC staff would like to apologize for this unfortunate event and would like to thank our loyal customers for their patience. Events like these are out of anyone's control as some individuals are always looking for targets to use these illegal actions on. We would like to tell all of our clients that we have been working our hardest to correct this as promptly as possible. Unfortunately this is out of our control, and to clarify - it was not a server belonging to SteadCom which was attacked, and if the issue were under our control - the service would have been already been resumed. This is all we know at this point, and the datacenter staff are working to resolve the issue in a timely manner. Once again, we apologize for tonights downtime. We will give further updates as they are available. Regards, Joseph Fasone Director of VPS Operations Steady Communications, LLC Gabriel Rotman Chief Operating Officer Steady Communications, LLC Dimitri Huyghues - Despointes Chief Executive Officer Steady Communications, LLC

Thank you for the update

Posted by r00ter, 08-16-2007, 10:46 PM
You're welcome. I would also like to make it a point that, as soon as you see the site online - please do not go rushing to the SteadPanel and flood our inbox with tickets all asking what happened. As soon as we get online, we will mass mail all clients with an update - but we need that bandwidth to get the network to rejuvenate itself to the best ability we can. Thank you for your anticipated support and cooperation.

We anticipate a resolution shortly, but like stated above - we will keep you posted.

At this time, traffic is being reopened to our vital network functions. This means, in a few moments - clients will have access to HyperVM, our website, and their SteadPanel. Unfortunately, a majority of VPS clients will still be offline. We apologize for the inconvenience.

ok thanks just some questions what happens if the uptime goes under the guaranteed uptime

Posted by r00ter, 08-17-2007, 12:47 AM
The guaranteed network uptime in our SLA accounts for downtime occured by SteadCom owned hardware, and this is unfortunately, not the case. If we do receive datacenter credit, it will be passed on to the customers.

IP Blocks are being returned online one by one, please await confirmation of all service restored.

After extensive testing, I can now proudly announce that 100% of our connectivity has been reinstated. We apologize for any inconvenience that may have been caused due to this downtime.

Seem the nerwork has comeback but not stable yet.

After a DDoS attack, a network is definitely not stable, and the network is probably having a sudden rush of traffic from people. It will probably take several hours for the network to stabilize and get back to the flow of things.
