Looks like you're alone. Did you get the issue resolved?

More incompetence from server providers in the US, this is getting far too common nowadays. Did you not have a remote backup??

I did have a remote backup Matt but unfortunatly that server was down. We only do backups once per month. After that the customer is responsible for backups. Weve managed to retrieve some accounts but the majority of websites didnt have backup. The customers who paid us extra for our daily backup service was alright. Awaiting compensation from stargate on this one. Dom

Im sorry to hear that man! If you have issue regarding backups and limitations of liability/loss of data etc correctly outlined in your terms and conditions (which I assume you will have), dont worry about the clients making legal threats as you will be somewhat protected. Have Stargate investigated as to how your server was incorrectly wiped yet??

Im protected by the liability claim that we shall be held unresponsible from any claims that may arise but thats not whats worrying me. Stargate are investigating still but im only starting to get the accounts moved from their previous servers which are still up I can only hope they have a good answer for this. Dom
