Waited for archive.org for a while and here's what came up: Non-Toll Free / International 1-703-797-0180

Do they have a Europe number? If not, you'll have to do an international call.

I did a tracert, and the problem appear to be at the level of a major carrier... I can't connect to level3.net.

Posted by everity, 06-22-2007, 01:52 AM
hmm. yeah, it seems to be working now.

just to let you know. Many people might have problems tonight. Level3 is having a network problem in chicago.

its up again, but i wonder i dunno what is this that everybody writes in his company ( %99.9 uptime )!!!!

Posted by spaethco, 06-22-2007, 02:40 AM
99.9% is 8.76 hours of downtime per year measured by network availability only, not the functionality of your specific server. 99.9% network uptime is very easy for many companies to achieve.

my server was down for 60 hours ,and im client only for 3 months

Posted by jNive, 06-22-2007, 07:46 AM
if the issue was with level3 or any other part of the internet after their own edge routers, then its not counted as downtime, for obvious reasons. Also, if the outage was with one of their links but not all of them ( ie. a partial outage ) then technically their network isnt down, however you would need to thoroughly examine their definition of 'downtime' relating to the network.

I find it amazing that eve after the OP stated that the problem was fixed and that he could connect, AND the problem had been identified, there's still people who post that they can connect ps: I can connect as well

Note to self: "Level 3 is good, but not perfect" I can't tell you how many posts about how great Level3 is appear, but when they have a problem people act like it was no big deal and assume the cause was the host. I bet all the other carriers out their could be all saying"Well it's about time."
