turnkeyresellers off the radar?

Posted by biTe, 11-05-2006, 09:00 AM
I have a backup account hosted with them internap and its down. Their website turnkeyresellers.com is also down. Traceroute at dnsstuff.com could not determine the IP for turnkeyresellers. Strange I thought. Anyone else down?

Posted by BeZazz, 11-07-2006, 02:33 AM
yes it is a bit worrying that support tickets havnt been replied to in days

Posted by desker, 11-07-2006, 02:40 AM
yeah mate. im still in the midst of looking for another reseller just in case. problem is the clients migration from one host to another. wonder if this could be executed smoothly.

Posted by BeZazz, 11-07-2006, 02:45 AM
you would just have to do manual backups of the accounts and get the admin of the new server to install them

Posted by BeZazz, 11-07-2006, 09:19 AM
all is fine now with the server and tickets have been replied to and a reason provided for the delay which was personal so i wont post it here i can say i was starting have doubts about turnkeyresellers but those doubts are gone now

Posted by desker, 11-07-2006, 09:46 AM
yeah i got the news. all's ok now

Posted by carolinahosting, 11-08-2006, 12:42 PM
Guys, Sorry about that. I rebooted the server when it was not responsive on Sunday then had a friend restart apache. I was without internet for several days due to a death in my family. The monitor I have only monitores apache. What I may do is assign a couple of resellers the ability to restart services in the event a service fails where I am unavailable. Again, sorry for the downtime as it was not planned.

Sorry guys, the issue was due to a user abusing the apache server. That user has been permently suspended. I also also added the two of you restart abilities in WHM. As far as the load, we run a nightly backup. The backup is mission critical to complete and is done in the night hours of the US. I understand that is prime time for your country but I feel the backup's have to be done nightly to protect everybody's data. If any of you wishes to monitor the load at night give me the numbers you are seing. I could take larger sites off the nightly backup and run those weekly only as a solution. To monitor the load you can see it on my main page.

ok thanks for that well i spose if i can retsart a failed service i wont be such a thorn in your side lol with the server load and http unresponsive if the account was just suspended it is possible that backups and user abusing the apache server together were causeing the load problems and they wont be an issue now

Isn't there more than 1 person at the helm of Turnkey Resellers?

Posted by carolinahosting, 11-21-2006, 12:43 AM
It is possible that the person (actually 2) were sending UPD floods more then likely downlevel programs as phpbb, etc. So, these events were happening at night along with the backup. Let me know how the load runs tonight and that will determin if any further action is needed. Turnkey is primarly ran by myself. It is a small company with not a lot of users.
