DedicatedNow Outage? [merged]

Posted by surfmanjoe, 11-16-2006, 10:13 AM
I found it is not stable visiting dedicatednow.com at this moment, the unstable here means sometimes the website is very quickly to be accessed, sometimes it is time out and can not be accessed. samething applies to my server hosted in their data center. I checked other URL's, like google.com, msn.com, all of them are fine. it is not my browser or computer or internet ISP's problem. anyone has same problem? thanks.

thanks and thats good for you . 5 of my servers detected down and up event by 2 minutes monitoring continuosly for 1 hour and now the issue seems to be resolved. only 5 of my servers down not all of them, so im afraid it did only effect certain rack. have email support, now waiting for explaination and credit if possible since my clients report the downtime as well.

Actually I'm also noticing some inconsistency on several servers there. The servers didn't actually go down or reboot, it simply appeared to be a connectivity issue. Tracert's seemed to imply it failed somewhere within their network. I'm still keeping an eye on it. ~ Joseph

rocksoft, Other than high latency (probably due to distance, etc. + maybe a little due to a slightly inefficient route) I don't actually see much of a problem in that trace. While you do have many timeouts in the middle, you do reach the destination (and with no packet loss, not that traceroutes are good for showing packet loss, but it's still interesting to note). When doing a traceroute, the primary thing you need to worry about is the ping time at the destination, you don't need to worry much (if at all) about anything else. Are your sites currently offline? HTH,

hello, thanks for the reply and explanation. support team did replied and said it was their isp having some issues but this problem has been resolved anyway. the trace route did show the isp is in problem and causing server offline. support team did a great job to resolve it quickly. tell you what, for me FortressITX still the best !!! Issue Solved!!!
