DedicatedNOW Scheduled Maintenance Sunday 11/04/2006 12:00 AM EST

Last week's maintenance was not performed, as our senior network admin was ill, so we are rescheduling last week's maintenance window for this weekend. Just posting this here as well, as it was e-mailed out to our clients / posted on the forums, but seems last week's didn't get to everyone. This post will also be bumped on Saturday the 4th. PLEASE NOTE: The window is for 6 hours, the estimated downtime / latency is approximately 15 minutes. This upcoming Saturday evening, into Sunday morning, 11/04/2006 until 11/05/2006 from 12AM EST until 6AM EST we will be performing scheduled maintenance on our NYC POP. During this time, we will be shutting down our NYC POP, traffic will re-route through our NJ POP ONLY during that time. BGP will be shut down on Above.net and Savvis routes, with all traffic will be routed over nLayer / Telia. Customers will experience some downtime / latency for approximately 15 minutes as BGP reroutes over to our NJ POP. I removed the rest of the information as it *could* be misconstrued as sales or non pertinent information. Thanks,

Our Maint is complete, it went by the book with no problems. Customers did not experience any downtime or latency as traffic shifted over from our NYC fiber to our NJ (newark) fiber. Our new capacity out of NYC is 4gbps with an upgrade to 8gbps coming soon. Which will mirror our NJ(newark) link of 4gbps with an upgrade to 8gbps coming soon. These capacity upgrades allow us to add more carriers and provide a higher level of redundancy for our clients.
