Of course they don't answer emails.

Hi there, currently a "pending" customer of uniVPS, signed up 12 days ago and still waiting but thats another issue.
They are still around, they are just having issues with SwSoft and Virtuozzo licensing, the eta i think is the 4th of september when everything will be up and running again.
The website is down because the dns server is hosted on a VPS thats being migrated to Virtuozzo which i also believe most other vps's are too thats why they are down.
So uniVPS isnt down and if you need to contact the owner, use msn: sinan@k.ro

I'm hosted on UniVPS at the moment, and i can catagorically say that its not down, and it's gone nowhere. I am on my server right now.
I don't have any websites hosted on there at the moment, but you can see my main IP's default index.html @ rocket.pro.vg, and you can download a test file from rocket.pro.vg/download/100mb.bin

Also, the owner himself i am talking to on MSN right now..
Please don't hesistate to ask me if you need any further help/proof...

well I for 1 am still waiting for my refund. so now sinan says sept 4th that's kinda funny cause it started out being aug 12th everything would be fixed and he's just kept pushing the date back I guess if you only need 30% uptime then univps is fine but I actually need what I pay for. I sure wish I had listened to cyberturk to begin with. Thanks for trying to warn us cyberturk. It sounds like you knew alot more about the kinda business sinan runs than any of us gave you credit for

This is BS... My server has been down for two days now with no way to contact him.So I should just let it ride till the 4th. He still doesn't explain why everyones server is down. I had to move to a different company.

i dont know why all boxes went down at intergina i can only guess but that been said this could have been handled better and hopefully he learns from his mistakes like i have said in his own forum before today he needs find support staff that want to give support not sit on there backside all day this has been brewing a while sinan does try his bes t but one man can only do so much hopefully when the move to hetzner and fdc complete things will be smootheras the pain that is intergina is no longer in the equasion

I'm not too sure where all this stuff about "every box in Intergenia is down" has come from - that's where my VPS is and theres no problems whatsoever.
Each time i deal with Sinan he is friendly enough, and when he was installing my server he even allowed me to watch via VNC to see exactly what he was doing.
He even let me watch him installing someone elses CentOS box so i could learn how it's done..
He's also been on MSN every day since my box was installed, so i don't know what all this rubbish about him not being online is about...

He finaly replied to my request for a refund but he wants me to wait till Saturday before he gives me the refund great management strategy make your customers wait for everything with this ethic I hope I get my refund before he goes bankrupt.
The sad part is if he'd set me up with a good vps with a few upgrades (for the hassle) I'd probably drop the whole complaint but he has lied to me personally so many times that I fear he's gonna bail with our money

3 months later he had 150 customers in Turkey he sold yearly packages and then closed his sites (www.10gbhosting.net) i said it before. He hasnt any funds, any real company. I think he probably doesn't want tons of emails asking "when will my service be back" etc. He would rather deal with them live (through MSN).
I suggest anyone that wants a refund adds him to MSN (sinan@k.ro) _and_ emails (politely) to sales@univps.com. He's normally online in the mornings (UK time). If you're really desperate, why not give him a call? At least that way you're sure to get some kind of response...
Not meaning to brag, but my service is still 100% uninterrupted, but I do feel the pain of those who have been unfortunate.
I also understand I am probably sounding like one of his employees or something, but i can assure you I am not (My English is too good for a start ). Any of you that were signed up to the uniVPS forums will have seen that I had my fair share of rants around 7 days ago, but all is sorted in that respect now.
The reason I am posting in his defence is that I think it is a little unfair for people who have no real knowledge of the situation are diving in with comments. Every host suffers problems now and again, it just happens to suck dick that all of his are happening at the same time :/

and for the people that pmed me for help i have not seen sinan online since wednesday but soon as i do see him i will forward your problems to him what it looks like is maybe one node is down as i have had request for help from 2 people i can see pfft has a prob so thats 3 as for the wait till 4th september is maybe the fact hes wanting to set people up on fdc boxes for vps and hetzner as intergina are a sheer pita for settup times as people will rember from his first advert here for dedicated intergina told him they had servers in stock he went ahead and advertised only to learn setups would take two weeks due to hardware not been in stock.

im trying to stay impartial here and help i was a reseller of sinans but what dosent help is while these problems are happening sinan isnt on msn to try to ease customers fears if he was on msn i admit nothing much he can do apart from talk to custoomers or maybe set them up on space in intergina but it would ease peoples minds him disapearing for 2 days whilst there is problems happening is not good for customers cionfidence but hopefully this will all change as i said before when he gets in fdc and hopefully he will get some support staff that want to support my offer is still open to anyone that wants me to forward a message onto sinan i will messagee him soon as i see him

The domain was purchased through Yahoo Domains. If you flush your DNS cache you will see it is now also pointed at my VPS.
rocket.pro.vg is a free subdomain that i used through freedns.afraid.org while I waited for SoEssential.net to work.
The reason it wasn't working before was because i put the IP 85.25.36.116 into the A Record, instead if 85.25.86.116 :/

I reported this to Sian on MSN after it went down, he didn't even mention any problems. I havent seem him online recently to speak to.
Im cancelling my subscription payment and moving hosts.
Another note is when signing up he made alot of promises about upgrading my port to 100mb unlimited, free plesk, more hd space etc. This was due to having to wait for my VPS to be setup, none of which were met.
To anyone considering Univps i would suggest steering clear - very unprofessional.
Hopefully everything will come out in the end.

as forr the port upgrade thats probably intergina loads of people have had delays on port upgrades due to intergina taking some times weeks to change a nic which is one of the main reasons sinan tells me he leaving intergina dc to concentrate more on fdc and hetzner anyway i wish you the best of luck with your new provider

Just posting my experience and current views.
TBH i didnt even want the upgrades he offered.
I've been with a number of hosts over the years and the way he offered all the upgrades seemed fishy.
While up my VPS functioned well and met my needs.
Alot has been argued and posted regarding sinan, we'll just have to see what happens - could go either way.
I dont want to be part of this univps situation anymore. Good luck to anyone holding out.

While I can not vouch for how irresponsible Sinan has been and unprofessional as well I can vouch that he is not a fraudster.
I currently have a dedicated server account with him. Which has never gone down. I must say I feel sorry for the VPS customers though.
I emailed Sinan and got a reply 3 hours later:

I am here I had an exam at university and working on uniVPS. We will rock once everything are ready. I am sure, anon-e-mouse will accept my 2nd membersship with WHT and we will start offering better prices/configurations soon.

I quit when it got too hectic. Sinan was never on and I was being abused by his customers (including m2e) treating me like a piece of no good crap because of Sinan's unorganization (He never wrote down who was on which server, etc).
I have enough trouble running my own company and which was also a definite reason. He was clueless on what to do and I gave him some pointers and tryed to help him out.
I belive UniVPS has potential but Sinan needs to pull his act together.
Regardless, I am still a dedicated server customer and I talk to Sinan and check up on what progress he is doing. He trys but I think he should of waited a bit before releasing his company. We will see on the 4th what he has come up with.

I own InvisionGaming and I name each of my servers and give them DNS addresses.
Like I previously stated, I am a dedicated server customer of his.
As for false hope the website says everything should be up and working tommorow. So we wait and see I guess.

its better to let the members of WHT know that a possible canidate that they might signup with in the near future for webhosting of anykind is unable to even enter a legal contract without the co-signature of a parent heh
no 15 year old should be selling any type of product in which someone people consider very important and valuable for whatever reason they choose.
im still trying to figure out how a 15 year old is allowed to come on these forums and lie about tons of things and get away with it

aside from univps being down we are also talking about a part of univps which ranges from the owner to the servers to the support staff which is kyle, if people are going to talk about a company they should be allowed to talk about every aspect of that company which includes the support staff

only cracked windows was from my singing in the bath they was all legit versions as for plesk licence the reciepts was posted in a post in here but it got deleted i think if you was as concerned as you are making out you are here microsofts anti piracy unit would be intrested in hearing from you but then again probaly wont report as scared of been made to look a fool

Sinan has been on today, but he went off before i could message him, the website has been updated, so hopefully stuff will happen, it will stil be the 4th for a few more hours, tho not here, another 6 mins.
And i couldnt care less about what an ex-uniVps support staff member did in the past, he has said that he doesnt do things for Sinan anymore so u dont have to deal with him and anyone who wants to deal with univps doesnt aswell so i think its completely irrelevant to this thread to have all the posts that it has had.
If you have something against Kyle then post in a different thread or take it to pm please

i think its just to make people wait before going and demanding there money so he can clear his paypal hes prbably waiting till the 15th before he actually clears off

Dear Customers,
As you know we had a 8 days downtime. What happened to us?
1st day:
Intergenia told us we have to swap the network because we were using too much connection and bandwidth.

They started to change the network.. While it's being, some VPSs were down, some were up.

OS on nodes were reloaded. Thats why we were installing Virtuozzo on them

5th and 6th:
We paid for Virtuozzo licenses and waited for them to be activate.
7th day:
I had exams at my university and we were still waiting for Virtuozzo licenses
8th day:
We are back and more powerful now. We wont take any new orders until existing customers problems are solved and we will upgrade all VPS with doubled hdd space in new packages.

Well after i've stuck up for him on here when mine was the only box working, i'd hope i see SOME kind of loyalty and he'd at least tell me what's going on.
I need it to come back up at some point, cos i did some coding on there this morning, and the last backup i have was last night
Oh well...guess il sit and wait like everyone else now.

after filing a dispute with univps thru paypal I got my refund within a few hours so anyone still waiting on refunds you might try that route.

I gave up.
In fairness, he did give me a full months refund very promptly (within about 15 minutes of me asking), despite the fact i had used the service for ~12 days.
I have now moved to Future Hosting, where so far i have found the service impecible (sp?). My server was setup within a couple of hours of me finalising the order, and all of my emails have been answered (at various hours of the day) within less than 20 minutes.
Very impressed at the moment - Hope they keep it up!

Hi, this is em0 some of you might know me from the IRC channel hosted on my network, well Im very disapointed with sinan, hes repeatedly promised things and never came through with anything, my vps is well, there is no vps... I would like to recomend everyone NEVER TO TRUST this guy again, he is full of lies and deception to just take your money. I am talking to a lawyer soon about taking action so we can hopefully stop this guy from scamming more people. He sets up servers it seems and they have a week or even less uptime befor they apperently drop, and disapeer then he pulls a we have to do a fresh install card, and you loose all your data, noone needs that. Ive asked several times for a refund, Ive rang him, Ive mailed, and Ive posted in his forums, and guess what, never once did I get a response sept for on the phone, he said "I will be on IRC in 5 mins." and hung up with me, but if you havent guessed already he didnt show.
If your american, and have been scammed or am unhappy with his services and he got money outa you for something you didnt receive, please contact me.
Since his TOS has nothing in it regaurding suits, and was never professionaly written or wrote by a lawyer, he is gonna pay for these crimes hes committing agaisnt customers, and everyone in the past he has scammed.
