Wholesaleinternet ..?

Posted by Cirtex, 10-03-2005, 05:22 PM
Please get our server back up asap, everytime it's always the network up for wholesaleinternet.com but all other servers are down, this is making our uptime very bad for our main site (even though customers are not affected) and alertra shows bad short downtimes at least once a week these days...whats going on?

Hoobastank68, Not quite sure why you'd be having a short outage once a week. Our server there hasn't had any major outage in over 100 days (I have it monitored at 2minute intervals with nagios outside their network). In any case their main site is up (which tells me this is a partial network outage, hopefully it's network this time and not power (I really dislike losing 100+ day uptimes on servers). Hopefully they'll have this sorted shortly. -Justin

Just got off the phone with Wholesaleinternet, aparently no outage was reported prior to my phoning them. They're looking into it at present. -Justin

Welp our server there is back up now. However it was rebooted and according to the system there was no panic or anything of that matter. I'm presuming it was a power problem as I would hope if network they would of bothered to check that first. In any case keep us posted on your box over there Hoobastank68. Would like to hear if it was something else/further as I wasn't told anything in regards to what the problem was. As I had pinged IP's on both sides of my range and none responded to ping I can only surmize it was a power strip or something minor failing. -Justin

Its up, I sent email and got email back telling me server seems to be up for them...doesnt tell me anything.. Only our main site(server) is hosted there, we might think about moving it to a different box soon...this isnt first time these kind of unexplained downtime has happened, many of which I didnt catch but monitor system did.
