Idologic outage 2005-09-30

Posted by trustedurl.com, 09-30-2005, 03:30 PM
It seems all or part of the datacenter is affected by an outage. I called and they are investigating. Traceroute shows an issue with gtconnect on my end. More as soon as I know.

Yes, it is network issue, our Cyberwurx server is down too. Whenever my server is down, I check your servers

Quickpacket mentions that the datacenter's router is problematic. I trust the datacenter to resolve this quickly though.

Just a though... please try to minimize calls to the datacenter... they are aware of it and I'd rather have them all work on the issue, then to answer calls...

is it a Ddos Attack ?

Posted by Rax, 09-30-2005, 03:45 PM
This could be an expensive outage for them.

I was wondering why everything was down, thanks DH. Maybe you should get a backup web site in a different datacenter or with another host?

Posted by trustedurl.com, 09-30-2005, 03:47 PM
Rax, you're in a different location... you'd get a different route...

Not sure, quickpacket posted that it was an issue with a router... I'm sure they'll let us know what it was...

Credit to the guys in the datacenter... I'm sure they got swamped by calls AND fixed the problem at the same time. I will post on our forums the full disclosure when I have all the details.

When I had rung them up the tech who answered stated he was simply manning the phones while the other technician(s) were working on the router/equipment. Definitely helps when you have techs who know what they're doing and choose to divide up a task to both solve the problem and keep people informed at the same time @ cyberwurx. Now I know why they're so good at fixing things.

Yes, they know what they're doing.... that's why we chose and love to do business with them!
