LayeredTech

Hey, Is anyone having difficulties with their LayeredTech dedicated server? I am unable to access my server, nor their website (http://www.layeredtech.com). Is this a networking issue or are the machines actually down? I'd appreciated any knowledge on this issue - been down for around 8+ hours as far as I'm aware now. Thanks, Russ

All of my LT machines are up and I can access their websitse. Why don't you post a traceroute to either your machine or their website?

Russ, There is no issues with our network at this time as others from Europe who are claiming to have issues are able to post on our forums network section which are located on the same network as your host and our website. Please check your local firewalls if you have any or ISP connectivity as it does not appear to be an issue on our end. There was some issues in Montreal QC CA late lastnight which could have affected some overseas routes but that was over 16 hours ago. I am having big issues with this. I can't connect to my servers with LT, I can't connect to LT's server. I can't send email because of it, and I can't access the support pages on LT because of it. I've been working on this for a while now and it's only LT i am having problems with. Traceroute provides *some* information, but not a lot. However, if I try and connect with servers located elsewhere in the US, there is no issue. If I connect from home (UK) then I get nowhere. No ping responses, traceroute just dies on me after savvis. Can LT look into this problem as it looks like this isn't an isolated issue - seems there's a lot of people with this problem. From what i can gather, there's a routing issue with LT or savvis (where they meet) Any feed back as soon as possible would be very usefull. Thanks

I'm not starting a flame war.. but if you'd read my post.. "I can't connect to my servers with LT, I can't connect to LT's server. I can't send email because of it, and I can't access the support pages on LT because of it."

I did read the post Right at signup they ask you not to use an e-mail address connected with the domain you are hosting on the server for support reasons (just incase you can't access your server and need their help). I assume then that you have an ISP e-mail, gmail, yahoo, hotmail, etc... and would simply e-mail support@layeredtech.com which will pipe directly into their helpdesk.

Hello, There appears to be some issues with a couple overseas carriers and peering points on the east coast or overseas. We do have a ticket open for this issue with Savvis but require full traceroute data from anyone affected to be submitted to our support ticket system. Please submit these details from your standard registered account or backup @yahoo.com account and we can pass them up to see if there is anything Savvis is able to do. This is NOT affecting all overseas clients and only appears to be affecting a few on specific ISP's. Once we find out all ISP's affected we can get the issue esculated and resolved. Please submit the traceroutes to 'support@ layeredtech.com' along with your full client details and ISP you are trying to access from and we can pass them up to Savvis. Please do not post them in this thread as we do not monitor this forum for support issues. Regards, Jeremy
