Posted by BrGuy, 03-11-2005, 10:17 AM
Is Sagonet down? Can't access from my brazilian ISP, network-tools.com can't do a traceroute too, but anonymizer.com can access my server.

They are having some issues with Level 3 currently.

Hello, Currently we are experiencing some issues with Level3, though I'm not entirely sure what they are at the moment, the matter is being worked on, and we expect to have things resolved shortly. I will post more information as it becomes available. Thank you,

Hello, Just a quick note, one of our upstreams has a few links down and the bgp session for that router has failed to timeout. We are trying to push a reload or reset of this session as it is causing inbound traffic to route to a blackhole. We will update as soon as we have more info.

We are still getting some packet loss.

experiencing timeouts here as well. They had routed to backups but looks as if the level3 issue is still causing their systems to route back to main (level3) and thus causing latency and timeouts. Hopefully all is fixed soon. -Justin

Latest update: Hello, We are still awaiting an explanation of the issue we have seen off and on today from our carriers (all of them). Right now, it appears that a link is damage somewhere upstream from us. This provider, Level3, has no outbound route from this host, howerver, they continue to randomly advertise our routes. For people whose cost (hops) is less on this link, the traffic goes to a router with actual path to us. This is equivalent to IP hijacking, howerver level(3) is actually one of our providers. We have been able to resolve this by requesting a hard BGP reset from Level(3), which seems to clear the issue. Right now, we have escalted this to the top of their NOC management and are attempting to get a solid assurance that there will be no further 'mistakes' in displaying this route. I will post when we recieve such.

Seems to be better now... ?

The last issue was detected over 6 hours ago. So I guess you are late to the thread.

Posted by mikelbeck, 03-11-2005, 09:43 PM
Yes, I know. But there was no follow up, I was looking to see if anybody if this issue had been completely resolved.

It seems to be resolved, no problems over the last 6 hours or so. We went through a lot of trouble this morning though

Could do with a follow up here as so we know if the issue has been resolved. Thanks. ~ Matt
