Looks like hosting matters is down again.
They were under DOS attack on Friday...wonder if it's the same thing again. I did not see an update on their support forum yet, however it may have just happened. My site was up earlier tonight.

I have 2 sites hosted by hostmatters.com. Are they having major server issues? I noticed that I'm not getting my e-mails, I can't FTP to the site, and hostmatters.com is unavailable as well.
Does anyone have any knowledge of what might be going on over there?

well that is very strange. It won't open for me. And when I try to pull my e-mails down, I get an error connecting to the server. And my two sites hosted with them won't open either. I know I'm current with my payments, so that can't be it

Could be dns/server related
How I am searching:
