udderhosting.com down again ?

Again they are apparently down and have been for at least the last 12 hours. I can't even ping them or any of my sites on their server, just get 'host unknown'. I tried surfing to them using a web based proxy in case it was a dns problem my end, but still no joy. This is the second time this has happened. I can't email them because when this occurs their email just bounces back with doman unknown. It's like they just switch their domain and all the hosted domains off or their servers off Anyone else use them ? thanks

Their email works because I received a reply- if you email support@udderhosting.com they say they can send you your files...

yeah Selpaw I know about it thanks, I just forgot to follow up back here. I got my files from them when it happened. And yeah it's a bummer alright and shame they didn't let people know before this happened. I thought though if a host had a backup server then it is just a mirror of the main server and that restoring it therefore should be a piece of cake, but sounds like they didn't want to do that in this case. They had a nice looking site one of the best I've seen for any reseller and pretty good prices/packages too. It just goes to show that there is no such thing as a 'permanent host' anymore (if there was). In fact lots of resellers I was looking at last year are not even around anymore either. Longevity must now be a big criteria in choosing a host for everyone... P.S and OT: why is my CPU maxing out and i can only type 1 character/2 seconds when I edit this message...must be using some crazy javscript thats stuck in a loop Last edited by krok; 01-09-2005 at 04:39 PM.
