BurstNet down in 100%

Posted by bloodyman, 11-02-2004, 12:50 PM
It seems that BurstNet is down. Does anybody know what's going on today?

Posted by thomas.smith, 11-02-2004, 12:53 PM
Right now I can connect again but it is very slow... Ping around 400

Posted by bloodyman, 11-02-2004, 01:05 PM
It seems that is another DDoS... Ok, so we are waiting, Burst! Fight for us with DDoS!

I don't know why, but after 100% down of Burst, now when it back up, I connect to it via AboveNet, but it wasn't before...

Posted by mainarea, 11-02-2004, 02:21 PM
It's working fine now.

Posted by thomas.smith, 11-02-2004, 05:30 PM

Posted by bloodyman, 11-02-2004, 05:34 PM
It cann't be DDoS, as they post on the burstnet forum. It might be a larger problem.

Posted by thomas.smith, 11-02-2004, 05:38 PM
What do they post in the forum ?? I can't access it...

Posted by thabrain, 11-02-2004, 05:39 PM
hmm my server is also down..

Posted by bloodyman, 11-02-2004, 05:39 PM
Some hours ago they posted that it is a DDoS attack and they will tell more when they will know more. But now it seems that this is a big problem - whole network is down for me.

Posted by server4sale, 11-02-2004, 05:41 PM
ip seems to be unannouned

Posted by thomas.smith, 11-02-2004, 05:41 PM
It is always the complete network beeing down when they get a DDoS...that doesn't mean it is something different. I guess it will be down for an hour and then they will be back online (but that's a pain de la arse).

Posted by thomas.smith, 11-02-2004, 05:43 PM
One thing that I noticed was that before the network broke down my server's load went up to 30...I was monitoring it at that time. That looks like a DDoS to me.

Posted by bloodyman, 11-02-2004, 05:43 PM
But only one thing is very strange for me - why they CAN'T POST ANY INFORMATION for us here or somewhere else???

Posted by thomas.smith, 11-02-2004, 05:45 PM
YEAH !! Its back !! DEATH TO ALL ****ING HACKER ******** !!

Posted by bloodyman, 11-02-2004, 05:45 PM
I have a tracerout, but throught LEVEL3

Posted by bloodyman, 11-02-2004, 05:47 PM
Seems to be ok.

Posted by thomas.smith, 11-02-2004, 05:47 PM
>But only one thing is very strange for me - why they CAN'T POST >ANY INFORMATION for us here or somewhere else??? As long as they keep fixing these things quickly I have no problems with Nocster. I used to have a dedicated server with another company. Sometimes it was down for 5 days. If I called them or sent them an email...no reply. That sucked... But Nocster is great !

They rebooted the router

Posted by WII-Aaron, 11-02-2004, 05:55 PM
Would you rather they spend thier time posting long explanations here or spend it fixing the problem? Aaron

Posted by bloodyman, 11-03-2004, 12:30 PM
Is it so hard to post few words on this forum, this topic? And another thing - now there is also problems with Burst, I have very high pings Maybe they should reboot themselfs rather rebooting router????

Posted by thomas.smith, 11-03-2004, 12:40 PM
This is not their forum. But I think they should host their own forum remotely and post information there. My servers are all down right now.
