Their forums have been down for months. Anyone know what is going on? Are they hiding something they do not want discussed on their forums?

They sold their company a number of months ago, and haven't told anyone yet officially. I cancelled at about that time as well. Don't know who the new owners are. They told me months ago that they would be announcing the change, but I havn't seen anything yet. The interaction I had with the new new owners WAS better than with the old, but who knows...

Does anyone have any idea how to contact the new owners? Everyoneswebhost has been down for 20 hours straight now. No word of what that problem might be and no way to contact them. Thanks for any info.

My account with them has not been down. It is just running very slow and we have e-mail problems. Other than support tickets, which they are not replying to right now, there is no other way to contact them.

All my accounts on their server 15 were down for about 24 hours. They're back up now, but very slow. Email is working also. Thanks for your reply bdub

Anyone heard anything as to what is going on? I am unable to receive mail from outside sources and my website is SLOW. The fact they have discontinued their forums makes this kind of stuff even worse. I guess I will finally have to drop them.

I put in a ticket about the e-mail outage on server14 (mail went in, but never went out). The reply I got was that it looked OK on their end. However, the response e-mail from the ticket system indicating they responded took 12 hours to show up in my mailbox. Clearly something was wrong. I had also asked them to install Crypt::DSA perl module. They installed it, but it's totally broken and it's been a month and it's still broken. Thankfully, I mirror my site between two hosts (Kalypsoweb.com (was VMC-Hosting)) and manage my own DNS with two MX records. So all I had to do was switch my MX record priorities and I was back up and running. Vince, the Kalypsoweb owner, has been a joy to work with and went beyond my expectations in helping me get the mirroring set up, especially since to mirror things like e-mail forwarders you have to copy files into /etc/valiases. I have been with Kalypso/VMC since April when Eryxma went belly up. Ticket response is not instant, but then I'm only paying $2/month. Since April, I have not had any downtime that I know of. The reason given for the name change was that search engines were having problems with the hyphen. The Kalypso site is very public about the fact that the name was changed, so I am not concerned at all about any other issues around that. That said, I'm ditching EOWH. I am not satisfied with the level of communication, and I get the impression that the new owner doesn't want to share things with us. When I asked about the forums and indicated that I was concerned that they were down for so long, I got an answer in a "why should it matter to you" tone indicating that there had been abuse on the old forums. I monitored the forums every day and I never noticed anything I would consider abusive or out of line. Now to just decide whether I want to keep going with two separate hosts or rely just on Kalypso...

I have asked several times about the forums (and the promised phone number) but they just ignore my tickets. I am setting up with JaguarPC. Mixed reviews here but most tend to be positive. I really would like to stay with them but not communicating is just not tolerable.
