unit hosting Down?

Posted by jvmombay, 09-09-2004, 09:35 PM
It's 9:33am now at my place (Hong Kong) and everyone is getting ready for work. Then I realized unit hosting is down and so is my site and my clients. I can't get in touch. What is happening? Is it a scheduled maintenance or some major outage? Hope someone from unit hosting will respond to me...

It seems like they have been down all day. My 6 sites are still down. I wish they had another way to let us know what is going on. I have a $140 order to process, and can't do so until I have access to my site again.

me too... i wish they could had sent us an email at least so we would know. im getting desperate here since all my clients rely on their accounts. It would be different if it was just personal websites but I have clients who needs their emails accessible almost 100% of the time. I don't mind the downtime but this has been way to long...

Yeah my site is down too, has been for around 8 hours. I hope it is not legal problems like last time. I am on SV5, i wonder if it is all servers? Regards,

10:05 now here and still down. I am on SV7 same as where they host their site. what worries me is they might not even be able to check their mails. I tried to add their msn but it's offline

I am on SV15, which is on theplanet network. I was going through this Message Board and reading some posts by other users on theplanet, all I can say is to cross your fingers, and hope our problem doesn't turn out like theirs.

oh man i hope not... i've got two big orders coming up already... if this goes bad, i have to get myself my own server and fast...

I doubt that they are receiving any emails, and i have not seen any of the guys on MSN in months. There is no other way of contacting them, other than that emergency pager that they have listed on there support pages. Not sure how that works, but have tried it anyway. I hope it is just some routing problem, but i am beginning to think it might be something more serious, seeing how every server that is managed by them is down.

i agree, at first i thought it was only the server i was hosted on, then seeing another two of their servers down gives me some doubts. it's hard for me to contact since I'm not based in the US.

I have my site on SV17 and it is down as well.

I know that SV5 and SV7 are located in different buildings and are therefore being routed differently, so either 2+ routers are experiencing the same problems or we have another issue on our hands

alright, i'm not familiar how many servers they handle but from the post here's the current servers that are down, just correct me if I am wrong. SV5, SV7, SV15 and SV17 Looks bad.. im crossing my fingers now and hoping for the best.

guys I am betting the ones that were down are colocated or leased on sagonet as it was down just a few ago as well, I have a dedicated leased box there which just came back up a couple minutes ago. I wouldn't be suprised if the ones that were down are located there. If this is so expect a little downtime in a little while as sagonet is still planning on doing network maintenance at 1-4AM Eastern Standard Time.

mine was at theplanet. everything has been solved and they already emailed me regarding the matter. So i guess this case is closed.
