*****REMINDER: Scheduled Network Upgrade***** Announcement -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Valued Clients, This is a reminder that we are proceeding with your scheduled network upgrade on Friday, September 10th 2004. Sago Support Services. ************************************* NOTICE OF NETWORK MAINTENANCE ************************************* Dear Valued Customer, This is notice that Sago Networks will be performing intrusive Network Maintenance next week. The window will be: Date: Friday September 10th, 2004 Time: 1am - 4am EST Reason for Network Maintenance: *Upgrade operating system, supervisors, and/or controllers on all network devices, *Upgrade links to Distribution Switches (Layer 3), *Complete upgrade on core to 6x10Gbps for all network segments, *Increase capacity at both peering stations, *Complete migration of core from Cisco 12xxx and 65xx to Foundry NetIron 40G, and *Expand IDS Capabilities Most of this migration is complete. The few remaining elements needing to be upgraded will require momentary interruptions and/or OSPF/BGP restarts on certain interfaces. Reconfiguring the network in this manner will provide an immediate performance boost for all customers. While we anticipate completion within 15-30 minutes, we have expanded the window to allow for unforeseen events. Most customers should experience very brief interruption and/or minor packet loss while the upgrade is completed. Please let us know if you have any questions. Due to tonight's unscheduled maintenance, we will be postponing tonight's scheduled maintenance until next week. We will be mass mailing all clients to alert them to the new maintenance window. Thank you,
