I was wondering since yesterday paypal seemingly out of nowhere contacted me asking to submit a "loe" (Letter of Authorization??) they even raised a case for that !, the only thing that seemed unusual is that they are asking for many things which so far i have completed but they are still asking for more (ID back scan *ok* + business registration )
Below are the things they are asking for...
Letter of authorizationContact detailsProof of identityBusinessProof of business registrationProof of addressNumber of office bearersBusiness informationNumber of beneficial ownersOwner informationAdd OwnerOffice BearerOffice bearer information
Have you guys gone through the same and why is paypal NOW asking for all this, am sure I submitted most if not ALL those info in the past (years ago) !!..
What has changed now, and does this have to do with any changes in US Policies and recent elections etc...??

I haven't personally got anything from Paypal requesting any of this information...
Have you tried contacting paypal and asking them why the sudden need for this information?

Unless your account has been flagged as suspicious, such as insane amounts of money being received / transferred, or unusual transactions / logins from unknown locations I do not know why you should receive such request.
However, I assume that if you ask PayPal will provide you the reason? If they havent done so already?

The last time this happened to me (years ago) it was because I applied for PayPal Here.

Trust me when i tell you i dont get INSANE amount of money ! also no chargebacks (because of the first point) so i really wonder what they r up to ?!?
here is a pic of the process they made me go through since 2 days now and not sure how this will end as they r still unhappy with everything i provided, they want a proof of a registered business which at this point i dont have !...

what i dont understand why only me i thought it was a new system they implement or something am surprised almost none of u guys had this !!..

Did you by any chance open a offshore company in UK and if yes are you EU citizen or you live outside of EU? This could be a valid reason why PP is asking you all this documents.

Yipes, there has to be a special set of circumstances predicating this request. We've not seen anything of the sort here. Would love to hear what it turns out to be.

Absolutely Not ! I didn't change my place of residence since 10 years+ and haven't started an offshore company !...
Am wondering myself since it seems so far am the only WHT member having this weird issue, let's see what they reply, i just hope not all paypal business accounts require business registration !!!....
