WHMCS: New Customer Received No Confirmation Emails

Posted by GChris, 04-05-2017, 05:47 PM
3 Days ago WHMC deposited funds for my new Hosting service Unlimited. No welcome email arrived nor did responses to support tickets submitted. Eventually a responder said "they should have sent email, will resend". No email ever arrived after several requests. When attempting to call support several days, no one picks up . Has WHMC fallen off the earth? No user ID has been designated to access account with ftp accounts. I do have access at the Hosts control panel with CPanel access to and uploaded files setting 12 Add On domains and 7 Subdomains. Although no domains including one transferred are "up" I then attempted to reorder the service and got error message the domain to transfer was registered to WHMC, but no email asking for confirmation etc., has arrived to finalize transfer process legally. Any help out there?

Who is the web host that you are using? WHMCS would have nothing to do with this as they don't offer hosting themselves. It would be a config setting on the host that you set up with. Either they did not set up the email settings right or just did not do it at all. Really no one on here can help you unless your web host that you are using is on WHT.

Hosting Service: WHMC : HostingMemberCenter.com ( Their Logo at control panel is same as webhostingtalk.com logo )The reason I came here was the only searches found for complaints were listed here in 2009, 2012. No one is responding by phone or help desk at there control planet... I don't know their email address to add to contacts, but have no problem getting other emails so I'm 99% sure none were sent. This event must be unusual or I would have found complaints online.

Considering they have no SSL on their client area and their main site links to their non-SSL https:// one that's broken, seems like nobody is keeping an eye on that business. Get your money back and move on.

A lot of unlimited services are unmanaged and they focus their support on managed clients.

If you don't have a plan to move to new company then you can login to your current hosting client area and click on "Email History". From email history you can find your welcome email or any email which was sent by your hosting company. No any role of WHMCS in this matter.

Automated emails from WHMCS aren't always recieved by certain email servers or clients as they tend to be sent using PHP. As they're sent using PHP this means that the emails are not sent from an actual email address meaning that some email clients have these blocked to prevent spam or phishing emails. If this happens to any customers of mine, usually I manually send the email text from my company email. Maybe you can ask whether your hosting company would be happy to do this?

I think there's a reason why most reviews you'll find is from 2012: The site hasn't been updated for 3+ years? Yeah i think nobody's watching the shop, OP.

Spam filters usually to blame, usually from not-great hosts.

Like stated, no one is apparently watching the website/business there. I'd suggest finding another web host as well. Good luck!

Yikes, it sounds like someone at that company needs to pay a bit closer attention to their emails. If they don't have a phone / chat method, time to contact the bank and then move on
