How would anyone know anything, when they don't even know who you are a customer of????????? I would suggest you talk to your provider.

I was told by my provider that the bug was going around the datacenter so I was thinking that maybe another host was affected by this.

I heard there is a cpu fan that's bad somewhere.... Can't remember which data center, though.

There is this ELF thing Server Matrix keep talking about. I am not too sure where they got it from? I tried to do some independand research on it and I couldn't find much too detailed. See this thread: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showth...postid=1737300 <<<<<<<<<<< >>>>>>>>>>>> To be honest, I would like to say I find very strange that his system has been infected by ELF as it infects FreeBSD 4.5 systems with Apache 1.3.20-1.3.24. If kakra's system is very different from this configuration, I believe SM's techs have said big *******... <<<<<<<<<<< >>>>>>>>>>>> Sometimes I think they are blowing horse **** out their *** over at SM/TP

Sounds like they're talking about an elf binary ( http://www.cs.ucdavis.edu/~haungs/paper/node10.html ) trojan moreso than anything else. Course, I didn't see the original report, so I don't know. -David
