How would anyone know anything, when they don't even know who you are a customer of????????? I would suggest you talk to your provider.

I was told by my provider that the bug was going around the datacenter so I was thinking that maybe another host was affected by this.

There is this ELF thing Server Matrix keep talking about. I am not too sure where they got it from?

Sounds like they're talking about an elf binary ( http://www.cs.ucdavis.edu/~haungs/paper/node10.html ) trojan moreso than anything else.
Course, I didn't see the original report, so I don't know.
