Looking for dedicated server in Brazil

Posted by Ragonz, 12-10-2016, 09:53 PM
Hoping people can point me to some good providers, I need a dedi in Brazil (1 to start out with but more down the line) with specs close to the below Xeon D-1540 64GB ram 1tb ssd /28 address 100mbps connection 10tb bandwidth (gig connection would be better if possible) Windows server 2012R2 I've looked at host dime but unfortunately they use a 95th percentile system that doesn't work for me as I have peak traffic points, I need a set bandwidth cap. Would like price as cheap as possible but realistically anything below $600 per month.

Talk with Manny over at HostDime, perhaps he can customize a deal based on total transfer for you... What's your 95th anyway? Have you considered Miami? Which has great connectivity to Brazil? Last edited by BeZazz; 12-12-2016 at 02:56 AM.

We have a client that's insisting on Brazil for their servers. Our 95th is difficult to work out as it's very spikey for example between 9am - 5pm we might use 500kb/s but at times between 6pm and 2am we may use upwards of 300mb/s this is why I want a hard cap on bandwidth rather than 95th as whilst we spike our monthly data transfer doesn't necessitate the needing of a 300mb/s 95th When I spoke to host dime previously they explained that if we go over our 95th they would bill us for it which would be horrendously expensive

Thanks Dustin! not sure how I missed this alert! @Ragonz, Understood your concerns. Unfortunately every facility around the world is billed in mbps and not per TB and in places like EU and USA providers get away with billing this way since bandwidth is cheaper however in Brazil where bandwidth is not cheap you will find it very hard to have this. Another option is to give a 100mbps unmetered port that would be more plausible to get close to your budget but honestly at $600.00 with those specs and 100mbps unmetered its still to low for having a Brazil based server. Closer $1,000.00 maybe more realistic
