Hi, We are a company that develops and host software the gaming industry, and are looking for a hosting provider in EU for dedicated servers. Our systems handle a lot of real-time data to our clients and from our partners, so we are looking for a provider with the best network both internal and public in regards to uptime and speed, with good and fast support as we operate 24/7 and need fast action if anything goes bad, the provider need to take care of the hardware as we will be taking care of the software, we will be running Windows servers. Our clients and partners are in EU and in Asia so the provider also need good connection between the two continents. The servers we need is web servers, processor servers for processing the data from our partners and SQL servers. I know that the best provider doesn’t come cheap, but for us it’s more important to have 100% uptime. Thanks Andreas Last edited by andreasdk; 02-04-2017 at 03:47 PM.

Could you give some details about what you need, eg.: bandwidth, processors, RAM etc?

Sure, network min. 1 Gbps would perfer 10 Gpbs public and private, ram in web servers 32GB, for processing servers 64-128GB, database 64-128GB, for CPU our current servers are having 2 x 2.3GHz Intel Xeon-Haswell (E5-2650-V3-DecaCore) so something like this. The provider can also be located in Asia like Hong Kong

Asia location is extremely expensive. If you ask for a price in some Asian location of 10Gbit and high uptime, you will instantly take decision not to host in Asia. If you need 100% uptime ( It exists only in theory ), you need to find 2+n provider's to host your data between multiple servers in multiple locations.

I know that 100% is only in theory, and yes Asia is more expensive, we have some services (another product) with Softlayer both in Europe and in Asia and can see the difference in price. But our issue is that we are working with Asian partners where we collect a lot of data that needs to be processed and send out so it was to minimize the latency from our processing servers to our partners and thereby the speed, I was thinking about a Asia location as the data we send out to our clients are better structured and are lot less then we get in. And yes, we could just go with Softlayer, but I don't know if anything better is out there where we could but our new system on.

OVH Singapore location? Their support will be slow, but services pretty stable and cost effective. Leaseweb Asia location? You can select SLA level to get quick support. They are good provider.

What a client considers as "best" is subjective to their needs. For some it's about uptime only, and others it is about managed support with 15 minute response times. There are others that need geolocation close to them, and yet others where getting IPs without the IPJ is what makes one better than another. There are so many things that go into what is "best" for each client and their needs.
