I am looking to move from my current VPS host hostingzoom.com due to a few downtime instances.......downtime was not that much BUT I have adwords and SEO services going on many websites, simple 4 hrs downtime ends up costing me a LOT of money in advertising/lost revenue AND my time costs. Learnt today about Cloud Hosting, here's what I need your help on choosing the right one for me. Requirements/specs: * MUST be a cloud with several servers supporting the VPS - VPS on a CLOUD * 1 GB RAM * 40 GB Space * 99.999% uptime - FOR REAL * Enough bandwidth * Must have CPANEL Control Panel with fantastico eetc * WHM required so I can create my websites etc. * Managed to a point where If I need help they can install/make changes for me * 24/7 email support - must be good. * should be in the USA * Easy way/help to transfer my websites from current host to the new one. I am really looking for a VPS on a cloud - I will not need to create new instances/nodes etc. please let me know if you have any good recommendations for me. appreciate your help!

Hello, I am sorry to hear of the troubles you are facing with your current host. I would suggest looking around this forum for a few providers (we are not permitted to solicit you directly) and contact them directly for further details on your requirements. They all sound reasonable though so I'm sure it won't be a problem finding a true Cloud host that suits your needs. Be sure you're looking at true Cloud Servers. Be careful using the term VPS as they are inherently different, and to offer redundancy and a "floating environment" across multiple physical servers most VPS providers aren't doing this. Even some that state they are also don't do this either. The only thing I think is a stretch is 99.999% uptime (realistic). Doing this in one single encapsulated OS is going to be very difficult as your downtime is normally going to be caused by your system needing maintenance or other issues. To achieve the coveted 5 nine's we usually recommend a high available cloud hosting solution which requires multiple operating environments to achieve this as when one needs to go down, another is actively serving traffic.

* the cloud should be in the USA. * I think you are right, what I am really looking for is a "floating environment" across multiple physical servers.....a true cloud environment.
